Thank you for your interest in the process. Below is the lenghty response to the start of the process.
At the county convention on March 10th, delegates for the state convention and district convention will be selected. From those two conventions the delegates for the National Convention will be selected.

The caucus meeting for Douglas County will be held this Saturday, Feb. 18.

The sole purpose of this meeting is to select the delegates for the County Convention which will be held on March 10.
The delegate count is based on 1 delegate per precinct plus 1 delegate for every 50 votes (rounded up) cast for John McCain in the '08 election.

We will be assembling at:
Sutton Hall
Intersection of Hwy 5 and Sutton Dr (aprox. 1.25 mi south of I-20)

Registration opens at 9AM.
You must be in line by 10AM to be able to caucus.

We will be taking online registration unitl 9AM Friday, Feb. 17th.
If you are going to attend the caucus please e-mail  the following information to me:
Name as it shows on your voter card
Street address as on your card
Zip code.

If you are you unable to attend the cacus and want to be a delegate to the county convention please send me an email with the above listed information along with a note that you will be unable to attend.  If no one is present from your precinct, I will be unable to list you as a delgate, but if your precinct does caucus and there is space available I will put your name in nomination to the group from your precinct.

If you register online, we will have your registration form ready for your to sign when you arrive at the meeting hall.
A one-time $10.00 fee will be collected which will also cover the cost of the county convention.
